Calibration of testing machines

Calibration of testing machines according to EN ISO 7500

Tradelab performs the calibration of testing machines with force measurement system, both tension and compression with ENAC (ILAC) accreditation.

The calibration is done on-site.

Tradelab normally performs it from 20% to 100% of full scale (5 forces). The number of forces can be extended at the request of the client.

As a complement, Tradelab calibrates with ENAC (ILAC) accreditation, axial extensometers or crosshead extensometer.

Tradelab, can calibrate testing machines that do not have the characteristics required by EN ISO 7500. It will be calibrated as special non-standardized testing machines.

ENAC (ILAC) calibration

FORCE

  • Tension from 1 N to 100 kN with uncertainty of (k = 2): 0.3% (Class 0.5.) And from 100 kN to 1000 kN with calibration uncertainty (k = 2): 0.6% (Class 1).
  • Compression from 1 N to 500 kN with calibration uncertainty (k = 2): 0.3% (Class 0.5) and from 500 kN to 3000 kN with calibration uncertainty (k = 2): 0.6% (Class 1).

STRAIN – DISPLACEMENT

  • Axial extensometer according to EN ISO 9513 up to 50 mm (class 1).
  • Crosshead extensometer according to EN ISO 9513 up to 300 mm.

For more information refer to the calibration annex:

  • Brand and model.
  • Maximum capacity.
  • Number of scales or force transducers available to the machine.
  • Directions (tension or compression or tension and compression) in each scale.
  • Points to calibrate below 20% (10%, 5%, 3% ...) if it isrequired.
  • Required class according to EN ISO 7500-1
  • Type of clamping jaws of test specimens when it is traction.
  • Type of extensometer to calibrate (maxium stroke), if required.

In order to calibrate the testing machine according to EN ISO 7500-1 it is required that the reading be direct in force units, which allows to apply an axial load progressively from 20% to 100% of f.s. and that the clearance between plates or jaws allows the insertion of standard force transducers that meet the requirements of UNE-EN ISO 376.
